    Overflow Hotel Information:

    Due to the large number of registrants at the 2017 Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) Annual Meeting, the group reservation block at the Westin Kierland is now sold out.

     

    CGS has contracted with the Marriott Residence Inn Scottsdale North for overflow sleeping rooms. The hotel is located approximately 2 miles from the Westin Kierland and is a short (complimentary) shuttle or Uber ride away.

     

    You may make your room reservation at the Marriott Residence Inn Scottsdale North by calling the hotel directly at 480-563-4120 or the toll free number at 1-800-331-3131.     A lodging tax of 13.92% will apply to the rate. Reservations are not guaranteed—please make your room reservation as soon as possible. Reservation requests received after November 17 will be accepted by the hotel on a space-available basis based on the hotel’s prevailing rate.

    Weather
    December daytime weather in Scottsdale is usually mild, with daytime highs in the mid-60s and nighttime lows in the 40s that may feel like 30s due to the low humidity.

     

    Meeting Attire

    Business attire is appropriate during meetings, the Opening Dinner, and Luncheons, but casual clothing is welcomed for touring.
