CGS Letter to NSF Regarding Implementation of the Chips and Science Act

On March 15, CGS sent a letter to the National Science Foundation (NSF) regarding implementation of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022. In the letter, CGS asks NSF to give special attention to programs that provide mentoring, career training, and professional development to graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, as well as to programs that aim to broaden participation in science. This includes the importance of Graduate STEM Education programs within NSF and the inclusion of mentoring and professional development plans for graduate students in implementation of the legislation that was passed by the 117^th Congress and enacted into law last year.
