About the Annual Meeting

The CGS Annual Meeting is held from December 3-6 in Washington, DC.

  • On December 3rd, join us for optional pre-meeting workshops, hands-on experiences that deliver cutting-edge strategies to address pressing issues on campus. Then, join us for the Opening Reception.
  • On December 4th, the meeting kicks off with a full day of panels and plenaries. Don’t miss the Awards Luncheon to celebrate leaders in graduate education!
  • The program concludes December 6th with the popular Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) Showcase and People’s Choice Award, where students from across their country present their graduate thesis in three minutes or less.

Plan your Visit to DC

The Annual Meeting is held at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC, ideally located in City Center and an easy stroll to Mt. Vernon Square, the National Mall, famous shopping and other sites in the downtown DC area. DC is serviced by three major airports and the Amtrak line via Union Station. 

Other things to know:

  • December daytime weather in DC is usually in the 40s and 50s.
  • Business attire is appropriate for all conference events.
