2025-2026 Strategic Planning
To solve our society’s most pressing issues, master’s and doctoral students will require advanced knowledge and skills and strong professional principles. In our current environment, however, the graduate institutions that prepare future researchers and professionals face unprecedented challenges, including a lack of public confidence in the value of higher education, a decrease in funding to support graduate students, and a workforce that is evolving with great speed.
To meet this need, CGS is developing a four-year strategic plan (January 2027-December 2030) to positively shape the future of graduate education, strategically guiding the organization’s priorities and decisions. The process is based upon:
- a clear understanding of our community’s greatest needs and priorities
- greater awareness of the information, strategies and resources that can address these needs
- collaboration with our members to execute the resulting strategic plan
More information about the strategic planning process will be made available soon. Check back frequently for updates and to learn how you can be involved in shaping the future of graduate education.
