Call For Proposals: Summer Workshop 2027
Join us for the Summer Workshop, an unmissable event that brings together graduate and research deans, associate and assistant deans, and other faculty and staff to advance scholarship and practice in graduate education. We invite proposals for technical workshop and presentation sessions, creating opportunities for cross-institutional collaboration and knowledge sharing among all stakeholders in graduate education.
Submission Process – Important Dates
Proposal Deadline: December 11, 2026, 11:59 PM EST
Review Process: December 2026 – March 2027
Notification of Acceptance: March 1, 2027
Final Materials Due: April 1, 2027
Submission Requirements
- All proposal submitters and all proposed presenters must be current members of CGS. Proposals that include non-members will not be considered.
- All submissions must be made through the online portal using the link below.
- Please ensure your proposal meets the requirements and includes all requested elements for your selected session type (technical workshop or panel/individual presentation).
- Upload your proposal as one file, using your last name and initial of your first name as the filename for your proposal.
- Proposals may be submitted in only one category.
- All technical workshop leaders, panel discussion presenters, and paper presenters must be registered conference attendees. Registration information will be provided with acceptance notifications.
- Listed presenters can be tentative and confirmed in April 2027.
Review Process
- All proposals will be reviewed by the CGS Planning Committee.
- Review criteria emphasize scholarly merit, practical value, and alignment with the conference goals.
- Authors may be asked to review and resubmit based on reviewer feedback.
- Priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate broad appeal across our expanded audience.
