New April 15 Resolution for Fall 2027 Admissions

Recently, the CGS Board of Directors approved updates to the April 15 Resolution to provide more clarity based on feedback from members. The new resolution will apply to admissions offers for Fall 2027 and after.

To address new questions raised by members in our current admissions environment, CGS formed a steering committee to make updates to the resolution. The committee has also created a new set of FAQs to clarify how institutions can communicate with students through the admissions process, what the resolution does and does not cover, and CGS’s role as the organizer of the resolution.

Primary members are invited to login to the CGS website to read and sign the new resolution. If you want your institution to be one of the listed signatories when the new resolution is made public on August 1, 2026, please sign on by July 24. We will continue to add signatories after the July deadline.
