COVID-19 INFORMATION AND RESOURCES

At CGS our members’ health and safety is our highest priority.  We are aware of public health concerns and want to provide a safe opportunity to gather in-person, while doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the CGS Summer Workshop and New Deans Institute.

Please note that we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will continue to update safety precautions as appropriate.

 

Vaccination Requirements

If you plan to attend the Summer Workshop and New Deans Institute, please be advised that:

  • All registrants are required to be fully vaccinated prior to participating in the in-person meeting in Minneapolis. Fully vaccinated status is defined as having received the complete primary dose series plus booster of a CDC or WHO recognized COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks prior to the start date of the conference.  OR
  • Show proof of a negative PCR test within the past 72 hours of the meeting start date.
Basic Precautions/Requirements

I agree not to attend the meeting if I experience any COVID-19 symptoms or learn I have tested positive for COVID-19 within 72 hours prior to the event.

I agree that if I feel ill or experience COVID-19 symptoms or symptoms that might be associated with COVID-19 during the conference, I will self-isolate, and not attend any events or activities and will notify CGS staff by emailing meetings@cgs.nche.edu.  (Note, Covid-19 testing locations near the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis are listed in the meeting app.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I verify vaccination status?
At the on-site meeting registration desk, attendees will be required to provide one of the following: your paper CDC vaccination card; a photo of your CDC vaccination card; or digital proof from a vaccine verification app on your cell phone.

Is CGS requiring masks at the meeting?
CGS will follow the guidance of the CDC, as well as any additional requirements set by the local government at the time of the conference.

Will I receive a refund for my meeting registration if the in-person event is canceled?
Yes, if the place-based event is canceled, you will receive a complete refund.

How will you share information about whether or not the conference will be canceled and/or switched to a virtual format?
CGS will email its members and this website will be updated with information concerning the status and format of the meeting. Additionally, we will email all current registrants.
 

If the place-based meeting is canceled, will it be rescheduled in-person at a later date?
No. Due to the size of the meeting, it is not possible to reschedule to another date.

 
If I cannot attend, can my registration be transferred to another person?
Yes, your registration can be transferred to another individual employed at your institution.  Registrations cannot be transferred to an individual outside of your institution.

What if my institution establishes a no-travel mandate after the cancelation deadline, and I cannot attend the meeting?
You will be eligible to receive a full refund of your registration fee.
