For our Humanities Coalition project, the University of Arkansas is creating interdisciplinary graduate MicroCertificates focusing on career development and practicums for teaching-intensive collegiate positions, while at the same time embedding professionalization and individualized advising for multiple career paths within the departmental doctoral curriculum.
MicroCertificates are a newly approved transcript able option for graduate students at the University of Arkansas. Consisting of 6-9 hours in a defined area, the certificates link existing efforts to support career diversity within individual units to the broader university.
