Anyone use requirements other than a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent?
We do not reject applicants who have completed a MSN, JD, MD, or PharmD degree without a bachelor’s degree. The program can review the student’s application and determine if they are admissible to the specific program. (While it is rare that JD or MD do not have bachelor’s, it still happens. Pharm.D. is more common. And we are seeing more RN to MSN programs that don’t necessarily award a BSN in route.)
Thanks, mcgees@etsu.edu. Any applicants from industry w/ work experience who do not have a bachelor’s degree and are applying to a master’s degree?
People w/o an undegrad degree can be admitted to a graduate degree through an appeal to the dean. A few of our programs are discussing if this should be a more regular process, e.g. our art MFA and some of our graduate certificates
