I am interested in learning how those of you offering dual degrees structure the overlapping courses that count toward both degrees. What is the credit limit for courses that count toward both degrees? How many total credits are your dual degrees? What are you finding challenging in offering dual degree programs? Thank you for any insights you share.
We don’t have a specific dual degree program, but we allow up to 30% of coursework to count for two master’s degrees. The total number of credits for each standalone degree must be met, counting those 30% credits. The culminating experience must be different for each degree.
We have a dual degree policy http://catalog.ecu.edu/content.php?catoid=24&navoid=2125#Dual_Degree_Programs. Please feel free to contact me offline if you would like to talk more (Coxka@ecu.edu)
