Does anybody have any handy “best practices” on integrating a question on first gen and rural background into a grad app on a campus that uses the Common App (which asks for parents’ educational level, so does not ask this question directly)? I’m seeing a data gap on our campus and wanting to make some changes based on the session from the First Gen Institute at CGS this summer.

Are you able to have students submit a supplemental information form that answers these (and other) questions that are not on the Common App?
