Great question! At University of New Hampshire, as per our graduate faculty by-laws “5. Emeriti faculty may with the recommendation of the graduate program and with
the approval of the Graduate Dean continue to serve on master’s or doctoral
student committees and further, may upon the recommendation of the graduate
program and with approval of the Graduate Dean serve as the advisor and/or chair
committees of students if they continue an active research program at the
University.”
