CGS 2021 Virtual Summer Workshop and New Deans Institute

    Final Summer Workshop Program

The 2021 Virtual Summer Workshop brought together over 300 attendees to participate in timely sessions around topics such as: dismantling structural racism, graduate student mental health and well-being, the changing landscape of master’s admissions, and post pandemic pedagogies. In addition to plenary and concurrent sessions with speaker Q&A, attendees also had the opportunity to join small group breakout rooms each day.

    Final New Deans Institute Program

Attendees of the New Deans Institute participated in sessions on managing budgets and enrollment, being an effective graduate education advocate, and freshmen deans’ reflections. In addition, participants received the added benefit of continuing the experience through small cohort groups designed to foster community and continue the discussion of current issues facing fellow colleagues in their new dean roles.

Previously registered Summer Workshop and/or New Deans Institute attendees can access the meeting website until October 9 to view the session recordings.

We look forward to the CGS Annual Meeting in New Orleans on December 1-4, 2021. Complete meeting information, including registration, will be available in mid-August.
